Question 1

What sizes do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Our tees come in unisex sizes S, M, L, XL, and 2XL, designed to fit a wide range of body types. The cut is a classic unisex fit — true to size with a comfortable, lightly relaxed drape that works whether you like it fitted or roomy. Every product page includes a detailed Size Chart so you can find your perfect fit before ordering.

Question 2

How do I choose the right size?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is to grab a t-shirt you already love, lay it flat, and compare its measurements to our Size Chart (linked right under the size selector on every product page). You can also measure around the fullest part of your chest. Since the fit is unisex, if you're between sizes or prefer a looser, more relaxed look, we'd suggest sizing up. Still unsure? Reach out through our Contact page and we'll happily help you pick.

Question 3

What is your shirt made of?

Accepted Answer

Every BY CHARLES tee is made from premium Bella+Canvas 3001 — solid colors are 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton. That extra combing process removes impurities and shorter fibers, leaving an exceptionally soft, smooth, and durable fabric that holds its shape wash after wash. (Ash is 99% cotton / 1% polyester, and heather and blend colors are 52% cotton / 48% polyester.)

Question 4

Will the shirt shrink after washing?

Accepted Answer

Our shirts are pre-shrunk, so you can expect minimal shrinkage — typically less than 5%. To keep them fitting their best, wash cold and tumble dry low or hang to dry; high heat is the main culprit for shrinkage with any cotton garment. Follow the care steps below and your tee will keep looking and fitting great for years.

Question 5

How do I care for my shirt?

Accepted Answer

To keep your design crisp and your shirt feeling soft: machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors; tumble dry low or hang to dry; avoid bleach and fabric softeners; and don't iron directly over the print. A little gentle care goes a long way — treated right, your tee and its design will look great wash after wash.

Question 6

What colors are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer 21 colors across the collection — from timeless Black, White, and Navy to Baby Blue, Maroon, Heather Mauve, and many more. The exact colors available for each design are shown right on its product page; just tap through the color swatches to see every option for that style.

Question 7

What are your hats made of, and how do they fit?

Accepted Answer

All of our hats are part of The Collegiate Series, with the destination name embroidered, not printed. The Classic Soft Cap is 100% cotton with a low-profile, unstructured fit and an adjustable strap that fits approximately 21"–24" (53–61 cm). The Vintage Washed Cap has a pigment-dyed, sun-faded finish, a relaxed unstructured fit and the same 21"–24" adjustable strap. The Fitted Hat is a structured Flexfit cap (63% polyester / 34% cotton / 3% spandex twill) in S/M, which fits 21¼"–22¾" (54–58 cm), and L/XL, which fits 22½"–24" (57–61 cm).

Question 8

What are your beach bags made of?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the style. The Canvas Tote is 100% cotton canvas, 16.5" × 16.5". The Oversized Canvas Tote is cotton canvas, 20" × 14" × 5". The Beach Tote is 100% spun polyester, 16" × 16". The Clear Beach Bag is durable, water-resistant PVC with a holographic finish, 15.9" × 12" × 3.9". One note: the '100% COTTON' wording inside the Airport Oval badge is part of the original logo artwork and refers to the design only, not the bag's material.

Question 9

What are your beach towels made of?

Accepted Answer

Our premium oversized beach towels come in 30" × 60" or a huge 36" × 72". They have a two-sided construction (52% polyester / 48% cotton blend): a smooth polyester print face for rich color and quick drying, backed by absorbent cotton-loop terry. The design is dye-sublimated, so it's infused into the fibers instead of printed on top. Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, and avoid bleach and fabric softener.

Question 10

How are the shirts printed?

Accepted Answer

We use professional direct-to-garment (DTG) printing with high-quality, eco-friendly water-based inks. Unlike heavy screen prints that sit on top of the fabric, DTG inks soak into the cotton fibers — so the design feels soft to the touch, breathes with the shirt, and looks crisp and detailed. Each shirt is printed to order, just for you.

Question 11

Will the print fade over time?

Accepted Answer

Cared for properly, your print is built to last and resist cracking, peeling, and fading — the water-based inks bond directly with the cotton for lasting durability. The best way to protect it: wash cold and inside out, tumble dry low or hang dry, and skip the bleach and direct ironing. Follow those simple steps and your design will stay vibrant for a long time.

Question 12

Can I get a custom destination added?

Accepted Answer

We love hearing where you want to go! We're always adding new destinations, and customer requests genuinely shape what we drop next. While we can't create one-off custom destinations on demand right now, if there's a place you'd love to see, reach out through our Contact page — we read every request and keep a running list for future releases.

Question 13

Can I customize my shirt with a family name, personal slogan, or custom text?

Accepted Answer

Not at this time — we don't currently offer personalized or custom-text shirts. Every BY CHARLES design is part of our curated destination collections, created to capture the feeling of each place. We know custom pieces would be special, though, and it's something we may explore down the road — so keep an eye out, and feel free to contact us to share what you'd love to see.

Question 14

Can I get my shirt in a different color combination or custom print color?

Accepted Answer

Right now, each design comes in the specific colorways shown on its product page, and we aren't able to offer custom print colors or one-off combinations. Our palettes are carefully chosen to complement each destination's vibe. If there's a color pairing you'd really love, let us know through our Contact page — customer feedback helps guide future collections, so it's never a wasted message.

Question 15

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

Because every item is made to order just for you, there's a short production window of about 2–5 business days before your order ships. After that, standard delivery within the US typically takes another 3–7 business days. You'll receive a tracking link by email the moment your order is on its way.

Question 16

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

Not at this time — we currently ship within the United States only. We don't offer international shipping yet, but it's on our radar as we grow, so be sure to check back in the future. If you're outside the US and interested, feel free to reach out and let us know — it genuinely helps us plan.

Question 17

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order — and we offer FREE US shipping when you buy 2 or more items. So if you're eyeing a couple of destinations (or shopping with a friend), bundling up is the way to go.

Question 18

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

Accepted Answer

If you spot a mistake, contact us as quickly as possible — ideally within a couple of hours of ordering. Because we print and fulfill quickly, we can usually update your shipping address only before the order enters production. We'll always do our best to help, so reach out right away through our Contact page and we'll see what we can do.

Question 19

Can I return my shirt?

Accepted Answer

Since every item is custom made just for you, we're sorry, but we can't accept returns for the wrong size or a change of mind. If your item arrives defective, misprinted, or damaged, we'll replace it or refund it within 30 days of delivery (see below).

Question 20

My shirt arrived damaged — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

If your item arrives defective, misprinted, or damaged, we'll replace it or refund it within 30 days of delivery. Just email us a quick photo at shopbycharles@gmail.com and we'll make it right.

Question 21

Can I cancel or change my order?

Accepted Answer

If you need to cancel or change an order, reach out as soon as you can after placing it. Since we move quickly to print and ship, we can usually make changes only before your order enters production. Contact us right away and we'll do everything we can to help.

Question 22

I ordered the wrong size — can I exchange?

Accepted Answer

Since every item is custom made just for you, we're sorry, but we can't accept returns or exchanges for the wrong size. Please check the Size Chart on the product page before ordering, and if you're unsure, message us first and we'll help you choose the right fit. If your item arrives defective, misprinted, or damaged, we'll replace it or refund it within 30 days of delivery.

Question 23

What destinations do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We currently offer 15 iconic destinations: Acapulco, Anguilla, Aruba, Cancún, Ibiza, Maldives, Monaco, Mykonos, Positano, Punta Cana, St. Barts, St. Tropez, Santorini, Tulum, and Turks & Caicos — with more on the way. Each one is designed to capture the spirit of the place and the memories made there.

Question 24

Do you have more collections?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Everything we make lives in three series, all available now: The Airport Oval Series (our original airport-code oval badge), The Collegiate Series (bold arched collegiate lettering), and The Slogan Series (each destination's own travel slogan). You'll find them across tees, beach bags, and beach towels, and our hats are part of The Collegiate Series. You can browse everything under Shop By Collection — and since we're a young, growing brand, new designs and collections are always in the works.

Question 25

Do you offer bulk or group orders?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — group trips, bachelor and bachelorette parties, family vacations, events, you name it. For bulk or group orders, get in touch through our Contact page with the destination(s), sizes, colors, and quantities you have in mind, and we'll help coordinate everything to make it easy.

Question 26

Do you have a physical store?

Accepted Answer

Not yet — BY CHARLES is currently an online-only brand. Staying online lets us print to order, reduce waste, and ship our destination tees right to your door. Everything we offer is available here on the website, anytime.
